A possible reduced rainfall could be due to changes in the number of rainy days or the average rainfalls per rainy day rather than the total rainfall itself. We therefore explore annual patterns in the numbers of rainy days and the average rainfalls per rainy day. There appears to be a slight downward trend in the numbers of rainy days over the period but not in the average rainfall per rainy day.
